This Privacy Policy explains how Phozy ("App") collects, uses, and protects information. It is provided by developer Elmin Najafli.
1) Information Collection
We aim to keep data collection minimal. Depending on how you use the App, we may collect only limited information needed for the App to function, such as basic usage details.
We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information from you.
2) AI Data Processing & Face Data
Phozy uses Google Gemini AI to generate artwork from your photos. Before your photo is sent, the app displays a clear disclosure and asks for your explicit permission.
What data is sent: Your selected photo, which may contain your face or other personal images.
Who receives it: Google LLC, via the Google Gemini AI API.
How it is used: Your photo is processed solely to generate AI artwork. Phozy does not store your original photo on external servers.
Face data: Phozy does not collect, store, or analyze facial data. Photos sent to Google Gemini AI may incidentally contain faces, but no facial recognition or biometric processing is performed by Phozy.
Face data (App Store disclosure)
- Phozy does not retain face data (photos containing faces) after processing is complete.
- Face data is processed solely to generate the AI artwork transformation you request.
- Phozy does not store face data on its servers. There is no storage purpose or retention period on Phozy systems; any processing occurs only for the duration needed to fulfill the user-requested cloud AI generation.
- Face data is shared with Google Gemini API (Google LLC) as the third-party AI processing provider.
- Face data is shared with Google Gemini API solely to generate the requested AI artwork. Without sharing the photo with Google, this cloud transformation feature cannot work.
- Phozy transmits the photo in real-time for processing and does not store face data indefinitely after the artwork is generated. Third-party handling is governed by Google's policies and terms; Phozy does not control Google's systems. For details, review Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your consent: Before your photo is sent to Google Gemini AI for the first time, you will be prompted to review this disclosure and grant explicit permission. You can revoke this consent at any time in Settings → Legal → Manage AI Data Consent. Revoking consent will stop future photo transmissions until you grant permission again.
On-device processing: The "Remove Background" feature processes your photo entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No data is sent to any external server for this feature.
Third-party privacy: Google's processing of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
3) Use of Information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Improve performance and user experience
- Monitor for issues or misuse
- Comply with legal requirements
4) Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services, such as:
- AI APIs (if the App uses AI features)
- Analytics/Monitoring tools (to understand general usage and improve reliability)
These providers may collect data in order to perform services for the App. We encourage you to review their privacy policies as well.
5) Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6) Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
